Experience the Lifestyle Campaign: Sydney, Australia

Here at OemaTakorr we are always thinking of ways to bring you along with us on our journey. With that being said, we are proud to launch the “Experience The Lifestyle” campaign. Each month, our team will be identifying tastemakers from around the world. This will give them the platform to share with you their inspirations. This month, we will “Experience The Lifestyle” in Sydney with Horton Yip.

Horten Yipp

My name is Horton Yip, 19 years of age, living in a quiet suburban town in Sydney.

Fashion is My Biggest Passion

Fashion’s fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and over the years, it’s grown on me and continues to do so. I’ve always had an interest in fashion, and as I got older, I became more self-aware with the way I dressed, and more conscious of the fashion world. The rest kicked off from there, and at this point in life, I can safely say fashion is my biggest passion, and it’s a career I‘d love to pursue in the future.

Fashion Isn’t All About the Price Tags

I’ve come to realise that fashion isn’t all about the price tags, nor exclusive labels, nor flaunting the latest trends. It’s a reflection of character, taste, self-awareness, and a general sense of presentation. Fashion is an ever-changing, never-ending industry. It’s a world of endless possibilities, and it’s up to you to find your place in the world of fashion, and discover what’s right for you.

I Dress in Whatever I Feel Comfortable In

Personally, I don’t think I have a particular style, I dress in whatever I feel comfortable in. I’m a big fan of monochromatic tones, simplicity (less is more), and a touch of elegance. Button up shirts, chunky sweaters, cuffed trousers, and long baggy tees make up a big proportion of my wardrobe.

Fashion Plays a Big Proportion of My Life

Inspiration is everywhere. Consciously and sub-consciously, fashion fills a big proportion of my life, and inspiration is sourced from everything around me. In a world where fashion plays such a fundamental part in my life, I find it easy to be ‘inspired’. Whether it’s walking through the mall, or browsing on the net, I’m constantly aware of everything that passes in front of my eyes. Whether it be a well-dressed individual strolling past, or a piece of clothing I find online, they’re all small pieces of the puzzle which shape my so called ‘style’.

Lifestyle – Fashion – KeativSpace.com Interview

Our Creative Director, Kamar Zachery, agreed to do an in-depth, up-close, and personal interview with the young and innovative KreativSpace.com. Kreated for the art community, KreativSpace.com is a digital platform that allows people of the art community to communicate to an audience through out the world.

He gives a few secrets to his personal success, along with the success he brought to OemaTakorr. This project between OemaTakorr and KreativSpace.com was a great combination.

OemaTakorr is Obvious

Have you experienced the lifestyle yet? If you haven’t, you obviously should.

At least that’s what Obvious Magazine is saying about our 2011 collection.

“If you’re on top of the trends as much as we are, you know that metallic, black and white stripes and purple are the hit for Spring/Summer.We’ve located a t-shirt brand by the name of Oema Takorr that hit the nail right on the head.”

We thought it was obvious too. Thanks Jerris for noticing it too…

Lifestyle – Fashion – Change Pants

Guys…

Don’t be afraid to change pants and add color. Doing so can add personality to your look.

Trust us when we say “the ladies will surely notice.”

But wear your pants responsibly. You can go overboard.

Here you will see a few looks from D&G, Maison Martin Margiela, and Ralph Lauren.

Lifestyle – Fashion – PRVCY DENIM

We all know that it can be quite a task for women when it comes to finding a pair of jeans that they not only like, but love.

PRVCY jeans are among the favorites because of how they so graciously fit a woman’s curves…I’m sure the guys will appreciate this as well.

Lifestyle – Fashion – Are you a scarf man?

Men are wearing scarves more now than ever before.

Whether you go with wool, cashmere, silk, etc. scarves add personality to your appeal, not to mention they really do keep your neck warm during cold times…it’s not a myth.

If you’re new to this, start off with something subtle and earth toned.

If you are confident enough and feel that you may be able to withstand some risk, give it some color.

Scott Disick is seen wearing a polka dot silk scarf for a clean debonair look.

Lifestyle – Fashion – Men, Give Your Tuxedo More Personality

Sean Connery always managed to look flawless in his tuxedo, but they were consistently plain with no personality.

That’s not the OemaTakorr way.

Let’s take a look at a few other ways on how you can be stylish in a tuxedo.

Tuxedo D&G
This velvet tuxedo by d&g is paired with a chambray shirt, faded denim, and cowboy boots for a very sophisticated western look.

D&G Velvet-Tuxedo
This very elegant velvet tuxedo has a checkered motif and looks great for after hour activities.

Tyson Beckford
Tyson Beckford is featured in a jacket from DSquared, along with a bow tie and formal shirt, but he makes it more fun and interesting by pairing this formal piece with perfect fitting jeans. Guys, it’s very important that you leave the baggy jeans out of this equation.

Dolce and Gabbana
In each of these pieces, you’ll find different embellishments to give their look more personality. wearing a tuxedo doesn’t have to be dull and boring. it’s okay to be stylish while exuding the appropriate level of class.

Leave it to the Germans
Who says you can’t wear pink without looking like a pimp? Maybe our German model here can change your mind.

Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling enjoys a beautiful night out in LA wearing his tuxedo with a simple gray t-shirt and black jeans.

Lifestyle – Fashion – Christian Louboutin Mens Shoes

Women have coveted the famous red bottom heels from designer Christian Louboutin for many years, but now it’s time for the guys to have a slice of their very own pie from the fabulous designer…feast your eyes.
